Funds or Grants available for Immigrants Affected by the Coronavirus

Here are funds that other organizations are providing for the migrant community in New York. We will be constantly updating the list.

Funds for migrants (We are not associated with any of these funds, we only maintain a list)

  • General

United We Dream: Link

Movimiento Cosecha is raising money for the Undocumented Worker Fund. Undocumented immigrants in the country can receive up to $300 (one application per family). The fund is currently closed, but you can donate here if you want to contribute.

  • Humanity Forward is giving aid to families who have lost their income. They are beginning their work with people from the Bronx. Link to apply. Link to donate. 

The Lambda Theta Alpha Foundation is giving $250 donations to individuals affected by the coronavirus. They have a special emphasis on students, people who tested positive for COVID-19 or those who are searching for work. Link to apply. Link to donate. (A history of costs must be presented).

The Betancourt Macias Family Scholarship Foundation has a program to help undocumented immigrants. They continue to receive funds and will continue to provide resources, although they say they have a long waiting list.

  • Mixteca created an emergency fund to help immigrant families. Here’s the link, although at the time of updating this article (May 28), the fund was not receiving new applications. To donate to the fund, here.
  • Annuity Freedom has a micro-grant for POC business owners. Link
  • Women

  • Restaurant / Hospitality Workers
  • Domestic Workers
    • Coronavirus Care Fund: Provides $400 in emergency aid to homecare workers, babysitters, and house cleaners. Link (only for members of the organization). 
  • Delivery Workers

  • Street vendors
    • The Urban Justice Center is collecting and giving money to affected street vendors. Donate here – Request help with: ckgutierrez@urbanjustice.org
  • Sex workers
  • Students
    • Scholly’s emergency fund provides $200. Students and their parents qualify. Link to apply.
  • Artists:
    • Annuity Freedom opened a micro-grant for artists. Here is the link.
  • Geographic funds
    • White Plains, NY: Wpstilldreaming offers help to those who’ve been affected in White Plains. Click to apply. Go here to donate.
    • Columbia County: Mano A Mano Mutual Aid Fund. Link
    • Staten Island, NYC: La Colmena is raising and distributing funds for Latino immigrants on Staten Island. Apply here. Donate here
    • Angel Family Farm: They are raising money to be able to deliver their vegetables to immigrants in need, for free. The family will start delivering their products for free, every Saturday, from June 20. Go here to donate.
