New Jersey Communities Come Together to Help in Haitian Relief Efforts

New Jersey has the fourth highest Haitian immigrant population in the United States. These strong ties to the Haitian community have recently led many state residents to support relief efforts in Haiti after earthquakes and political upheaval. New Jersey activists and organizations like the Haitian Community Development Organization of Camden and New Jersey for Haiti have made contact with local leaders to help organize donation drives to gather supplies such as hygiene products, bottled water and toiletries, and monetary donation.
