The drive hopes to reach lawful permanent residents in New York City through a series of events hosted by the Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs, CUNY Citizenship Now!, and various community-based organizations. Frisly Soberanis was awarded the Next Generation Award by the Hispanic Access Foundation for his film “I Know What Pandemic Means,” which was co-produced by Documented and Waterwell. Soberanis worked with members of Documented’s WhatsApp community to paint a stunning portrait of undocumented immigrants’ lives during the pandemic.
