The Biden administration is preparing to make legal services available to migrants entering the immigration system through seven border towns, a government solicitation for contractors reveals. Contractors will run the program, but the Justice Department’s Executive Office for Immigration Review will oversee it. The administration intends to launch the program, called Legal Access at the Border, in 60 days. It will prepare migrants for the immigration legal process, but they will not be directly provided with attorneys. Migrants placed in the re-implemented “Remain in Mexico” program will be among those getting assistance. Axios
