How To Look Up Automated Case Information From EOIR

Do you know how to track an upcoming hearing at immigration court? The Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) operates an Automated Case Information System where you can check your case status online.

Click here to visit the Automated Case Information System, which will display updates about the case tied to a person’s A-Number. This identification number, which is 8 or 9 digits, is printed on all correspondence from EOIR and Department of Homeland Security.

If you want to verify the address and availability of the immigration court location where a hearing is scheduled, check out the EOIR Operational Status Map

The EOIR also maintains a database of contact information for each immigration court. The agency recommends calling the immigration court handling an individual case if you need clarification about where and when to attend.

It’s critical to maintain an updated address with immigration agencies where you can receive notices. The EOIR clarifies that the Automated Case Information System isn’t official documentation as “case information from this automated resource is provided for convenience only. Documents the immigration court or Board of Immigration Appeals issue to you or your representative are the only official determinations related to your case.” Check out the Documented guide How To Change Your Address with Immigration Agencies.
