At Documented, we’ve seen an increase in people who fraudulently pose as immigration authorities or immigration lawyers to gain access to migrants’ personal information. These scams may offer false promises of legal help and work permits — or more sinister threats that a warrant is out for target’s arrest.

We’re teaming up with Envision Freedom Fund for a free, multilingual webinar to inform our readers about the presence of immigration-related scams and what to do about them. Register for the event at docu.nyc/AvoidScams. The presentation will have Spanish and French interpretation.
