Stephanie Keith holds a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from Stanford University and years later, after studying photojournalism at the International Center of Photography in NYC, became a photographer in 2004. She began doing long-term projects about ethnic and religious groups in New York City publishing a book about Voodoo in Brooklyn, NY in 2010 called “Vodou Brooklyn.” After raising two children, she started working for news wires in 2015 as a freelance photojournalist in New York City. In 2017, The Guardian shortlisted her as one of the top ten wire photographers of the year. In 2023, Stephanie Keith was part of the New York Times Pulitzer Finalist Breaking News team for the deadly Bronx fire. Her work focuses on social justice issues both protests and stories.
