With immigration front and center in the November 2024 elections, Documented has been hearing from immigration experts and professionals.
We invite you to attend a 30-minute virtual roundtable conversation following the 2024 presidential debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump.
The conversation will be over Zoom at 1:30pm on Wednesday, September 11th. Register to receive details to join the event live. Attendees will be invited to ask questions of the participating immigration experts. The event is free and open to the public. REGISTER FOR THE EVENT HERE.
There will be four speakers on the call — Documented’s Fisayo Okare, as the moderator, and all three experts including David Dyssegaard Kallick — Director, Immigration Research Initiative, Nils Kinuani — Federal Policy Manager, African Communities Together; and Rovika Rajkishun — Partnerships Strategist at the Ellis Island Initiative.
- We will debrief the presidential debate between Harris and Trump and discuss their their thoughts and concerns about the election, including:
- What would a Kamala or Trump presidency mean for the United States in regards to immigration issues and policies?
- What have past government administrations and current administrations failed to do in regards to the asylum process and TPS?
- How are the politics of this moment clouding major immigration issues that are yet to be addressed?
