The G-1145 form or E-Notification of Application/Petition Acceptance, is used to request a text message and/or email when U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement accepts other forms. The G-1145 must be clipped onto the front of an application or petition filed with USCIS. The service is only available for forms filed at facilities in Lewisville, Texas; Chicago, Illinois; and Phoenix, Arizona.

An e-notification will not include any personal information, including the applicant’s name, because neither email nor text are secure enough to transmit personal information. Instead, the notification will list a receipt number and give instructions on how to obtain case status information.
