The West Indian American Day Parade, now in its 57th year, is a vibrant celebration of Caribbean culture, music, and heritage that has become a staple in NYC. This annual event was brought to life by Caribbean immigrants who sought to recreate the joyous and expressive festivities from their homelands in their new community. The Brooklyn parade, which takes place on Eastern Parkway in the Crown Heights neighborhood, is one of the largest cultural events in North America, drawing millions of spectators and participants each year.

The West Indian American Day Parade is much more than just a parade; it’s a multi-day celebration showcasing the richness and diversity of Caribbean culture. From the rhythmic sounds of steelpan bands to the dazzling costumes and energetic dances, every aspect of the carnival reflects the spirit of freedom, creativity, and community, which are at the heart of the celebration.

Vibes With Voicey The Graduation Tour

A concert featuring a variety of special guests, with music by Voice, Kerwin Du Bois, Nadia Batson, Ding Dong, Skinny Fabulous, Adam O, GBM Nutron, Boyzie, Wadicks, Lyrikal, Ravi B, Mical Teja, Nailah Blackman, Pumpa, Vghn, Jadel, Asa Bantan and Rane Blackman.

We LIMMIN” Carnival Bus Tour

This tour delves into New York’s vibrant Caribbean carnival culture. You’ll visit key mas camps and steel pan yards, where you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of colorful costumes. As you explore, enjoy the lively beats of Caribbean music and savor authentic Caribbean food.

Socafest

Socafest celebrates Caribbean culture, focusing on Soca music from Trinidad and Tobago. The festival features vibrant costumes, dance, and a festive atmosphere that highlights the rich cultural heritage of the Caribbean community. Among the performers will be Nomcebo Zikode, Patrice Roberts, Mical Teja, Farmer Nappy, Christopher Martin, Nigy Boy, Pumpa, Raymond Ramnarine, Tallpree, Mr. Killa, Terror D Governor, and a Team Band.

Youth Fest/Junior Carnival Parade

A joyful event where children take center stage, dressed in colorful costumes that reflect the rich cultural heritage of the Caribbean. The parade allows younger members of the community to showcase their creativity and pride in their roots, accompanied by the lively sounds of steelpan and Soca music. 

The parade assembles at Kingston Avenue and St. John’s Place and continues along St. John’s Place, turning left onto Franklin Avenue. It proceeds on Franklin Avenue to President Street, turning right onto President Street. The parade continues on President Street into the Brooklyn Museum.

New York Carnival Panorama 2024

The New York Panorama, North America’s largest steel pan competition, takes place annually during Carnival Week in Brooklyn. The event draws participants worldwide, all vying for the title of champion.

Sizzla + Spragga Benz & The Firehouse Band with YG Marley Live

Sizzla Kalonji will perform his first U.S. live band performance, reconnecting with his Dancehall and Reggae music fans. The event will also feature a performance by Spragga Benz, backed by The Firehouse Band. Special guest YG Marley will also take the stage, with music provided by DJ Stakz, Kevin Crown and Noah Powa.

57th Annual New York Carnival Parade 2024

You’ll enjoy the colorful costumes and be entertained by the performances of various mas bands as they parade down Eastern Parkway. The parade kicks off at Lincoln Terrace Park in Crown Heights and moves along Eastern Parkway, with the sounds of steel drums and the sights of elaborately designed costumes filling the air. The celebration culminates with a grand presentation in front of the Brooklyn Museum, where the best Caribbean culture will be fully displayed.
