Delivering Together is a new project from the Brooklyn Public Library (BPL) created especially for New York City’s app-based food delivery workers. The libraries provide safe, supportive spaces across Brooklyn where delivery workers can rest, recharge, and connect with useful resources — all for free.
Everyone is welcome. Whether you’re coming in for a quick break, a drink of water, or to learn something new, the Brooklyn Public Library is here for you, and for many other resources that you can check here.
Here’s a guide with the details.
What you’ll find at any BPL branch
With 62 locations across Brooklyn, every library welcomes delivery workers to:
- Take a break indoors — escape the weather for a few minutes of rest.
- Charge your phone and use free WiFi.
- Use restrooms and refill your water bottle.
- Join free programs to improve your English, learn about immigrant services, or attend fun family events like Storytime.
- Get your free BPL library card, giving you access to thousands of books, bike repair tools, and digital resources.
At nine branches, the Delivering Together program offers even more:
- Borrow a mini bike repair kit to take with you on the road with your library card.
- Access secure bike parking and repair tools.
- Join free workshops on topics like road safety, workers’ rights, and English language learning.
These are the branches where you can find the additional resources:
